Message from the President: Over the months of the pandemic and throughout the protests and the anger and the pain of 2020, the storms of years past, and the trials and tribulations that have helped shape the America we live in today, one thing has been constant: community health centers have been a place of healing and caring. And for that I say: THANK YOU. Thanks to all of you who work at and support community health centers, day in and day out. Thank you for showing up to help people get through every challenging day, week, month, and year to make your community a better place. I know that you have always been there for people who need help and encouragement, and to show them how to identify and draw on their own strengths and abilities, to build resiliency in your community. And I want you to know that just as you are there for your communities, the Community Health Care Association stands with you. We believe that health care is a right and not a privilege. Our vision is that every person in every community in New York State has primary care that encompasses all aspects of each person’s health and well-being. Because of the work you do to make that vision a reality, 2.3 million New Yorkers have access to high quality primary care that is governed by the patients in your communities. I am here to remind you that the work you do makes a difference in people’s lives - and makes New York State a better place for all of us. Thank you.
